BREAK OUT YOUR BEST RED, WHITE AND BLUE OR OTHER FUN SUMMER DECOR AND JOIN US FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL OLD GLORY BOAT PARADE & PARTY ON LOON LAKE.
Sunday, July 4, 2021 | 4:00 p.m.
3:45 p.m. Lineup at the West End of the Lake
All residents are welcome to participate in this family friendly event celebrating our nation’s independence. Don’t have a boat? Cheer on your favorite entries from the shore.
After the parade, dock your boat at home and head to the Breasbois’ lakeside pavilion (4079 Minnetonka Dr.) for more festivities! Bring an appetizer to share, your drink of choice and a lawn chair, if you’d like. Prizes will be awarded at the pavilion for the Best Decorated, Best Theme and Most Spirited parade entries. No pre-registration is required.
DECORATING GUIDELINES & RECOMMENDATIONS
Judging will be done from your starboard side so focus your efforts there.
BE COLORFUL: Deck displays with a variety of color create more attention.
BE VISIBLE: Can your decorations be seen clearly from 300 to 400 feet? Make things BIG.
BE HEARD: Play music that ties into your theme and don’t forget to cheer, sing or use noisemakers.
BE CAREFUL: Don’t pass other boats or follow too closely. Be sure your decorations don’t block your view.
BE JUDGED: Hold up or display your Parade ID (issued during lineup) on your starboard side. Judges will be stationed along the shoreline scoring entrants as they pass.
Event subject to cancellation based on weather conditions. Follow us at facebook.com/loonlakelinden for more info and event updates.
